Overview

As a DevOps engineer, you will work on a team of DevOps engineers focusing on the day-to-day tasks of managing and maintaining Datacenter environments and will be hands-on involved with building source code, deploying binaries, configuration and monitoring application servers. Candidate will also research and develop build and deployment automation tools in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

In this Job, you will:

  • Automate the development and test automation processes through CI/CD pipeline
  • Develop and configure tools for more productive front-end operations ((build tools, deployment, speed, monitoring errors/logs, and stability)
  • Drive continuous improvements in deployment, management, and monitoring of the application’s web services
  • Contribute to improvements in processes that increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the DevOps and product development teams in responding to customer and business needs
  • Administer in Linux systems and various tools including JIRA, Git, Jenkins or other similar systems
  • Identify and isolate issues between infrastructure and application
  • Research and analyze tools and technologies to optimize building and deploying code-base, manage distributed production systems and application resources.
  • Deploy new modules, upgrades and fixes to the production environment.
  • Work with Release Management to ensure modules are production ready

 This is the job for you if:

  • You have experience installing/upgrading applications and deploying software delivery and solutions
  • You bring to the table the ability to automate deployment and monitoring tools using Ansible, Python, Bash or similar scripting languages
  • You have experience configuring SOA based applications to include REST, SOAP, JSON or similar)
  • You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

You should get in touch if: 

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar and a minimum of 6 years’ experience in software engineering and DevOps engineering
  • You offer strong experience with scripting and automation tools and strategies
  • You are experienced with web application installations, upgrades and deployment as well as servers/systems that support hosted web applications
  • You have experience with Jenkins and CI tools to automate software delivery (build, test, deploy)
  • You have experience with source control systems including GitHub, BitBucket or SVN)
  • You possess the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with both technical and non-technical cross-functional teams
