Overview

In this role, you will support CareCentrix home infusion and specialty drug clinical programs to fulfill market capabilities and needs for innovation of new products and existing core products. The position will focus on supporting clinical coverage guidelines alignment for specialty drugs and step therapy opportunities that support product enhancements for market growth.


You will develop and maintain drug fee schedules for existing clients based on research and decisions of new drugs to our Home Infusion product. You will work closely with the Utilization Management team to interpret drug guidelines and determine self-administration, provider-administration, and distinguishing the factors that determine who administers the drug.

Responsibilities

In this Job, you will:

  • Assist with collection/processing of drug clinical data and information in support of:
    • Drive Drug Pipeline Review Committee & Clinical Subcommittee – key responsibilities of ongoing collection, evaluation and management of product-specific market surveillance to generate insights, policy recommendations and relevant stakeholder communications. The subcommittee provides the platform for clinician members to discuss pharmacologic, efficacy and safety parameters of drugs/biologics pending Drug Pipeline review.
    • Clinical Policy (MCGs etc.)
    • Home Infusion Therapy (HIT)
    • Home Heath Infusion Nursing 
  • Work closely with Medical Economics and Data Management Team in preparation of fee schedule governance of new drug HCPCS being added, maintained, or deactivated based on industry changes or pharmaceutical updates.
  • Assist Utilization Management, Network, Billing, and Provider Excellence teams as needed with interpretation of drug guidelines and in determining self-administration, provider-administration, appropriate dosing (units billed) and distinguishing the factors that determines who administers the drug, and act as a subject matter expert in resolving questions related to claims.
  • Support Product Home Infusion Theraphy (HIT) team including Drug Strategy Pipeline as needed bringing innovation to market. 

Qualifications

This is the job for you if:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy and current Pharmacist licensure. PharmD preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare industry in a variety of managed care roles or home infusion therapy.
  • Experience driving research and development of clinical drug strategies.
  • Knowledge of medical billing & claims systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint. 
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and manage cross functionally. 
  • Foster and facilitate collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate into deliverable results.
