Overview

As a Java Developer,  you will be responsible for building and maintaining web applications in an Agile environment, with a keen focus on usability, performance, and scalability.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java Spring Boot for backend development.
  • Work with Oracle database to ensure data consistency, security, and efficient retrieval.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Participate in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Optimize performance and troubleshoot issues to enhance application efficiency.
  • Maintain code quality with best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code reviews, and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field (or related work experience)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Java Spring Boot for application development.
  • Experience with ORACLE or any RDBMS
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and best practices for API development.
  • Working experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of usability principles and best practices for web applications.

Optional Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge in developing user-friendly interfaces using AngularJS, ReactJS, Bootstrap, and Material UI.

This role is remote but may require occasional on-site attendance for meetings in one of our facilities in Tampa, Hartford or Overland Park, KS.  If chosen for a final interview, an on-site interview may be required.
