Overview

Manages and oversees CareCentrix’s Medical Economics activities.  This individual is accountable for setting a standard methodology and process for performing strategic analysis and executing according to that standard.  Responsibilities include (a) new business underwriting and pricing, (b) customer reporting, (c) analytical support for product development, (d) corporate development support (M&A activities), and (e) the tracking and reporting of key business operating metrics for executive management.  This individual will collaborate with other CareCentrix support functions, including finance, product development, account management-sales, provider services, technical solutions group, performance improvement, and human resources to optimize profitability, growth, operational performance, and customer and employee satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Provides analysis on customer reporting and proving value proposition for new and existing clients.
  • Develops tactical, strategic plans which impact corporate growth and margin improvement.
  • Prepares sales presentations clearly communicating the value proposition of CareCentrix services.
  • Prepares reports to include a comparative analysis of payors pre-/post- CareCentrix spend; benchmarking against other data sources where available; demonstrating effect of CareCentrix managed care factors including network discounts, utilization management and place of service impact.
  • Evaluates and tracks the performance of HomeSTAR program including readmission rates, etc.
  • Provides financial support to mergers & acquisition opportunities including accretion/dilution analysis, discounted cash flow, etc.
  • Produces and maintains an executive dashboard of key operating metrics tracking performance across different customers, business segments and markets.  Provides aggregate Performance Guarantee tracking in order to ensure contract compliance.
  • Works with Finance to track customer financial performance and identify opportunities for gross margin improvement with cross-functional teams including medical management and provider networks.
  • Conducts staff meetings to ensure proposals to prospective customers and reporting for existing customers is accurate and delivered timely.
  • Participates in and contributes to performance improvement activities
  • Gathers information used to understand costs, trends and appropriate utilization.  Consults with internal experts to determine appropriate data and analysis to be performed.
  • Provides presentations to senior management as required.
  • Establishes and maintains format, structure and preparation process of reports to be provided to superiors and upper management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Information Systems or the equivalent required. 
  • 5-7 years in Healthcare Analytics required.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience leading or managing a small team.
  • Demonstrated experience with modeling and forecasting (trending). 
  • Experience preparing/analyzing Financial & Healthcare data. 
  • Strong technical ability with Excel & SQL required. 
  • Financial management, Mergers and Acquisition experience and experience statistical methods strongly preferred.
