Overview

This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of healthcare and drive innovation throughout technology in the healthcare space.  The Enterprise Architect will oversee all technical analysis and design across the organization.  Serve as author of all system installations, maintenance, and expansion initiatives. 

 

Candidate must have strong leadership, communication and technical skills as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.  The ability to handle aggressive timelines is a must.

 

Responsibilities

  • Create/maintain/update technical design for all hardware/software implementations across enterprise as an individual contributor or lead for team(s).
  • Develop standards, methods, and tactics to manage development and runtime environments focused on speed, consistency and strong security controls.
  • Enforce industry best practices across all technologies used.
  • Spearhead all initiatives to improve system performance, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Lead Development Operations with creation and maintenance of Disaster Recover and Business Continuity plans.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Business/Technical Analysts in Requirement and Design sessions to vet feasibility of implementations.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Undertake complex projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge in software development and provides expertise at top technical levels in particular business processes.

Qualifications

  • Must have in-depth and hands-on Java experience.
  • Working knowledge of Red Hat and other Linux operating systems.
  • Database and data warehouse management is desired.
  • Intermediate understanding of JBoss is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable making day-to-day decisions.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • A “do whatever it takes” attitude.
  • Ability to work well in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Degree in Computer Engineering or the equivalent, plus a minimum of 7 years in software architecture and development.
