The Sr. Business Analyst will support the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) department in monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and analysis.  Utilizes data gathered from Corporate Systems in conjunction with ancillary databases and reporting applications (Access, etc.) to provide financial analyses.  Reacts to interim data gathered in analysis, obtains additional data, and performs additional analysis which would be useful for management evaluation.

• Works with management to obtain an understanding of processes and issues to be evaluated, gathers and presents financial data. 
• Evaluates and validates data by comparison to related standard reports and reviews with experts.
• Develops understanding of performance metrics, designs reports, and perform analyses.
• Performs research and variance analysis on transaction related data. 
• Partner with departments to find the root cause of claims with adverse financial outcomes, then work to ensure a remediation plan is put into place.
• Prepare Financial PowerPoint presentations for senior and executive leadership.
• Produce detailed financial models in Excel to assist in decision making process.
• Analyze and monitor historical trends in Excel utilizing macros, queries and tables for significant variances analysis. 
• Prepare actual to budget variance reports to support management in the review of operating performance.
• Identified process inefficiencies and implemented new procedures to streamline existing procedures as necessary.
• Provided miscellaneous ad-hoc analysis based on requests from the management team.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or the equivalent required.
• A minimum of 3-5 years financial analysis experience generally required.
• Thorough knowledge of database, reporting, and presentation applications such as Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, and how to integrate and transfer data between them is required.
• Excellent financial reporting, analytical, verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Advanced experience with MS Excel.
• Knowledge of health care is highly preferred.
• SQL or Tableau experience preferred.
