    Provide quality day-to-day desktop support with a high degree of customer satisfaction and technical expertise, within the required timelines. Troubleshoot complex hardware problems (Desktop, Laptop and Printers). Works under moderate supervision.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage multiple tasks, be detail oriented, be responsive, and demonstrate independent thought and critical thinking. 
    • Provides high level, advanced technical support of desktop computers, thin clients, applications, and related technology. 
    • Assist customers with IT related issues in a Service Desk setting both in person and remotely.
    • Respond to requests and problems including installing, monitoring, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC/Thin Client/MAC hardware, software, and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance.
    • Assist with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop, laptops, MACs, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines.
    • Troubleshoot trouble tickets to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment primarily over the phone.
    • Provide customer assistance using Active Directory services and remote access tools.
    • Troubleshoot hardware on desktop computers, laptops, MACs and thin client computers.
    • Must be willing to work off hours and be part of an on-call rotation.

     

    Qualifications

    • Associate’s Degree in Information Systems or the equivalent. Minimum of three years in Desktop Support required
    • Desktop support experience on PC’s with Windows operating systems, Mac’s and Virtual Desktop
    • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (2007, 2010, 2013, 2016) with an emphasis on Outlook, Word and Excel
    • Experience supporting and troubleshooting MS Ofifce Communicator, LYNC and Skype for Business Applications
    • Able to troubleshoot complex hardware problems (Desktop, Laptop and Printers)
    • Provide Telephony support (Nortel PBX, Contact Center Administration).
    • Proficiency in Mobile Support (Blackberry and VPN)
    • Technical proficiency in relevant operating systems, applications, and/or languages and programming, debugging skills required 
    • Strong knowledge of PC/laptop imaging (WDS, Altiris, Symantec Ghost, Acronis)
