  • Overview

    As the Strategic Initiatives, Director you willbe a core member of the strategic initiatives team and will lead and support work associated with various corporate development projects (including M&A) consistent with CareCentrix’s overall business plan and direction. The individual will support the Company’s pipeline development, company evaluation and due diligence review processes and transaction execution to ensure that all corporate development and M&A activities meet the Company’s financial and business objectives.

    Responsibilities

    • The Director’s primary responsibility is the day-to-day execution of the strategic initiatives group’s efforts in project and transaction execution which includes industry and company research, business case development, financial [modeling] and analysis, detailed due diligence, and transaction deal management
    • The Director will take a leadership role on projects and be responsible for the day-to-day management of cross-functional teams and interactions with potential partners / acquisition targets
    • Actively participate in corporate strategic plan development with the group’s senior leadership and CareCentrix’s executive leadership team
    • Analyze market segments, market trends, growth, competitive developments, and potential partners and acquisition targets to provide sound recommendations to executive management
    • Prepare and analyze business cases for new business opportunities
    • Support integration planning, along with other business and functional personnel
    • Oversee tracking and reporting on the status of strategic initiatives activities and pipeline
    • Travel requirements: variable based on deal process, but likely between 20% - 40%

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS in relevant discipline preferred with a strong educational background
    • MBA/Equivalent Masters’ degree from a top tier school
    • Approximately 7+ years of experience in the field of corporate development, investment banking, private equity, investment research, strategy consulting, and/or corporate strategy, preferably in the health care industry
    • M&A/Corporate Development experience and track record of successful acquisition experience required
    • Exposure to business valuation and financial modeling (e.g., comparable company, precedent transactions, IRR, ROIC, discounted cash flow and leveraged buyout analyses)
    • Effective written and oral communication skills and strong organization skills and analytical expertise with the ability to perform detailed analysis
    • Ability to develop cogent arguments and present them concisely to a range of stakeholders, including executives
    • Strong quantitative skills with experience in financial analysis, financial modeling and strategic analysis required
    • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
    • Strong problem solving skills including project prioritization, critical thinking and hypothesis development
    • As the Director will interact with, and often lead the work of multiple cross-functional project teams, a strong and mature presence is critical
    • The role will consist of helping lead the maintenance of a pipeline of partnership and acquisition targets in addition to working on “live” transactions, and, as such the individual will need to be able to balance multiple projects of varying durations (e.g., long and short-term)
    • Comfortable operating in a demanding, fast-paced environment and be capable of reacting swiftly to changing business demands
