  • Overview

    As an HR Director, you will be responsible for designing and implementing employee relations strategic initiatives to drive higher engagement, performance and efficiency that affect all team members.  You will maintain strong relationships with all levels of leadership, provide counsel and advise leaders and the human resource team on complex and sensitive employee relations issues.  You will support internal investigations and serve as the legal liaison for escalated issues or complaints.  In conjunction with the HRBP team, you will develop/implement human resources process and policy improvements that drive excellence in all facets of employee relations.


    • Lead oversight and maintenance of all internal HR policies in partnership with HR team.
      Develop and implement effective rollout and communication strategies for new policies and policy updates.
      Lead enterprise-wide employee relations projects through effective collaboration with all key stakeholders, including oversight for HR Fundamentals training content and delivery coordination
    • Lead the investigation and resolution of escalated complaints to senior leadership of the highest complexity and sensitivity, ensuring investigations are conducted and recommendations are developed in an objective and thorough manner and prepare written reports of fact findings.
    • Serve as the single point of contact for HR matters requiring legal assistance or guidance.
    • Lead and partner in the development and implementation of HR initiatives to improve management capabilities related to effective employee performance management, conflict management and employment compliance practices.
    • Identify employee relations trends and apply learning and root-cause analyses to design, develop and deliver effective recommendations and sound business solutions working in collaboration with HR, legal and business leaders.
    • Serve as an Employee Relations (ER) expert, providing counsel and guidance to the HR team and business leaders for complex and escalated issues, such as policy interpretation, performance management, job eliminations and other terminations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, or other issues representing significant risk to the organization.
    • Partner with LOA team in managing complex LOA/ADA cases and manage and monitor data trends to share with the business.
    • Lead and manage external partner/vendor relationships
    • Serve as an overall HR subject matter expert and thought partner for business units, HR colleagues on legal, ER, LOA/ADA, and other various topics as needed




    • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience in lieu of degree plus a minimum of 15 years of combined Employee Relations, Training and Project Management.
    • Prior experience employing “best in class” HR practices across a large corporation.
    • Experience conducting and managing corporate investigations of complex/sensitive workplace complaints, including EEO related allegations.
    • Experience with developing, leading / managing and implementing large-scale HR projects and initiatives.
    • Demonstrated strategic thinking, leadership and communication skills.
    • Strong thought leadership, strategy execution, and project management skills.
    • A high level of initiative with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, deal with ambiguity, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization as needed.
    • Ability to handle highly sensitive information with absolute confidentiality and professionalism.
    • Strong knowledge of relevant state and federal employment laws.
