  • Overview


    As the Senior Director – Government Programs you will be the lead subject matter expert working directly with a national government healthplan on the implementation of Medicaid initiatives and supporting the on-going expansion in their markets. This individual will be the liaison between the product, regulatory, and account organizations internally at CareCentrix and the Government Programs leads at the healthplan.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify, assess and promote innovative government programs opportunities for CCX and national healthplan related to Medicaid expansion. 
    • Provide internal CCX support, guidance and direction in the development of product initiatives, and other operational requirements focused on government programs particularly Medicaid.
      Partner with internal compliance and legal resources for interpretive guidance, working closely with the Chief Compliance Officer, Senior Directors, Directors and Analysts to ensure accuracy of interpretation of legislation and regulations.
    • Serve as an extension of the account team with the ability to lead client focused discussions and in-depth understanding of the Medicaid environment.
    • Manage client specific projects to enable CCX to execute on Government programs particularly Medicaid. 
    • Travel: 20-30%

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree required, MA or equivalent experience. 
    • A minimum of 8-10 years' experience in managed care, Medicare, Medicaid, or other government programs setting.
    • Knowledge of Medicare Advantage, Accountable Care Organizations, and Medicaid required.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, thorough understanding of federal and state laws impacting health insurers and their delegated entities, including but not limited to, laws impacting utilization management, claims, and credentialing for governmental health plans (Medicare, Medicaid). 
    • Strong understanding of client management requirements and ability to bridge internal support with external requirements. 
    • Ability to think strategically and analyze market trends and public policy essential.
    • Strong project management skills including ability to lead client requirements discussions. 
    • Experience working in a matrix organization.
