As the Senior Medical Director you will provide clinical oversight of the Utilization Management and Post Acute Care program for CareCentrix, 

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Oversees licensed physicians and consults with nurse reviewers on clinical issues related to authorization requests.
    • Oversees the Medical Director(s) supporting our Post Acute Care Product 
    • Conducts medical necessity reviews, peer-to-peer consultations as requested
    • Provides input into CareCentrix clinical guidelines, criteria and other decision support tools, including evaluations and recommendations on new and emerging technologies, and industry standard treatment protocols
    • Responsible for the operational performance of our Independent Review Organization vendor
    • Attends the Quarterly Joint Operating Committee meetings held with our clients.
    • Collaborates with Health Plan clinical leadership  

     

     

    Qualifications

    • MD or DO, with an active and unencumbered medical license. 
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in clinical practice
    • 3 years’ experience with managed care programs
