Overview

The Area Vice President of BT Delivery will serve as the bridge between the Business Technology (BT) and all business functions. Through the gathering of detailed business requirements at the start through the validation that these have been correctly implemented, they will make sure the business goals are appropriately met as well as adherence to technical standards and processes.  Maintaining a complete view of all delivery priorities this role will assure the quality and predictability of client implementations, operational enhancements, compliance mandates, and technology changes throughout the delivery lifecycle.  They are a leader who has expertise and judgement in working across multiple functional areas within an organization, and has previous experience in successfully bringing new guidelines to a technical organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the BT Delivery division, comprised of Client Implementations, Delivery Management, Solutions, and Quality Assurance teams.
  • Single Point of Contact for all new and on-going technical initiatives.  This includes being accountable for all software, infrastructure, data, and operational activities.
  • Divisional oversight ranging from financial planning and budget adherence to portfolio planning and resource capacity for division.
  • Provide leadership and direction for all QA teams to identify knowledge management, training, and execution for all manual and automated testing efforts.
  • Set direction for Business & Technical Analysts to solicit, define, and document requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Enforce implementation and execution best practices across division throughout software development lifecycle
  • Define roles and responsibilities related to Delivery Management to ensure clear accountability for the quality of data across the organization.
  • Facilitate project/initiative prioritization across CareCentrix Leadership.
  • Harness technology to drive efficiencies across organization.
  • Foster an environment of innovation and execution utilizing delivery and testing best practices across the enterprise.
  • Create, communicate, and implement policies and procedures to drive the organization’s vision, mission and technical direction.
  • Maintains awareness of the internal business strategy and competitive landscape.
  • Will provide detailed and accurate communication to all stakeholders including but not limited to the COO and CTO.
  • Builds and maintains a strong partnership with clients, vendors, and external stakeholders that interact with the company.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or the equivalent, plus a minimum of 15 years leadership experience in technology delivery and/or client delivery.  Masters/MBA, a plus.
  • 15+ years working in software development, with significant experience in software delivery in a multi-client, concurrent project environment.
  • Experience working directly with clients or external customers in a technology products/services environment
  • Must have healthcare domain experience
  • Familiarity with fundamental application design and development approaches, including user interface, ETL, rules processing, data integration, services, etc
  • Passion for driving execution, removing roadblocks, and continuously optimizing technology projects to deliver business value
  • Ability to lead teams and individuals
  • Ability to manage project delivery planning, forecasting, budgeting, and metrics reporting
  • Familiarity with best in class/industry accepted methodologies for technical development estimation
  • Data-driven, analytical with strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to proactively manage and mitigate technical delivery risks, drive risk mitigation, drive issue resolution, conduct root cause analysis, and engage in lessons learned
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization across all departments (both verbal and written communication)
  • Strong focus on process, process improvement and quality
  • Ability to collaborate and form partnerships with business and technology colleagues
  • Ability to multi-task and contribute to many projects in various stages of the SDLC
  • Ability to manage project delivery with variety of SDLC methodologies including agile and/or waterfall
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment that is undergoing change
