Overview

As the Product Technology Director, you will be working in a fast-paced, startup like environment. You will be working with Business and Technology teams to implement new go to market platforms and products, develop core system enhancements as part of platform/product expansions and support client implementations and strategic product development. You will be responsible for defining capabilities/features, prioritizing the planning backlog, with inputs from Product Owners (PO) and Product Architects (PA), Release Plans (Scope Defined), so as to streamline the execution of program priorities. Partner and manage other product owners, vendors and leadership to execute the strategic vision and ensure it exceeds the expectations of our customers and users. You will help drive the team to success by working across groups for discussion and engagement and create and track user stories in an agile software development life cycle. Investigate ways, partnerships, technologies to drive user engagement and satisfaction. Ensure internal product stakeholders needs /expectations are met and promote transparency by helping communicate through SAFe/SCRUM practices.

 

Responsibilities

In this role you will:

 

  • Be responsible for application enhancements and transformation with a focus on features, business value and the customers
  • Develop and oversee the ingest of requests, requirements, technical specifications, test scenarios and represents business needs and value
  • Set the overall vision and develop a strategic plan for the applications
  • Lead a small team of Product Owners (four)
  • Partner with the PMO to manage the application deliverables
  • Translate application strategy and business/functional requirements into tasks to support development efforts
  • Serve as the liaison between the business, product, and development teams to deliver high-quality products while creating scalable, maintainable, and reusable solutions.
  • Engage with key internal and external stakeholders to establish value based roadmap and long term competitive positioning for our applications
  • Lead governance forums to support long term strategic development of products
  • Transform current teams to maximize efficiency and knowledge of the applications and business processes
  • Establish standards, templates and best practices for the team to ensure quality of requirements, efficiency of proposed solutions and clearly articulate impacts and risks of the change

This is the role for you if:

 

  • You have extensive experience in Technical Product Management
  • You have experience at the Director level
  • You have experience as a change agent, comfortable making changes as needed
  • You have experience in the HealthCare industry with a solid grasp of market trends as it relates to products
  • You have owned software applications

 

Qualifications

You should reach out if:

 

  • You have a bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science or equivalent
  • You have a minimum 6 years’ experience in technical project management or technical product development
  • You have strong project management skills
  • You have experience managing or mentoring team members and developing processes
  • You have experience leading cross functional project management initiatives, working with digital stakeholders, design and subject matter experts
  • You have experience with front and back-end engineering teams
  • You have advanced communication/presentation skills
  • You have Healthcare experience (preferred)
  • You have technical competencies and understanding (preferred)
  • You have strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • You have hands-on problem-solving skills
