DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps engineer, you will work on a team of DevOps engineers focusing on the day-to-day tasks of managing and maintaining datacenter environments and will be hands-on involved with building source code, deploying binaries, configuration and monitoring application servers. You will also research and develop build and deployment automation tools and must be comfortable working in an agile environment.

In this role you will:

• Set up Kubernetes from scratch, including designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes clusters. This is a key responsibility as we currently do not have Kubernetes implemented, and you will be responsible for its setup and maintenance.
• Manage and automate deployments with Jenkins and Ansible.
• Collaborate with DevOps and cloud engineering teams to define infrastructure requirements.
• Implement and manage secure, scalable, and high-availability infrastructure on AWS.
• Develop and configure tools for front-end operations.
• Drive continuous improvements in deployment, management, and monitoring of web services.
• Optimize Kubernetes cluster performance and resource utilization.
• Automate development and test processes through CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage multiple environments and ensure they are properly set up and available.
• Administer Linux systems and various tools including JIRA, Git, and Jenkins.
• Develop automated deployment and monitoring tools in Ansible, Python, and bash.
• Research and analyze tools and technologies to optimize building and deploying codebase.
• Work with various teams including developers, QA, and technical support.
• Document and complete knowledge transfer to production support.

This is the role for you if you have:

• Expert level hands-on experience setting up On-Prem Kubernetes clusters from scratch 
• Hands-on experience with automating deployment processes and infrastructure provisioning.
• Proven experience with Jenkins and Ansible in deploying applications and managing infrastructure.
• Proficiency in monitoring and maintaining deployed environments.

You should apply if you have:

• 8+ years of software engineering/DevOps experience.
• Expert level experience setting up On-Prem Kubernetes clusters from scratch 
• Extensive experience in Ansible, Linux, and Jenkins.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience handling aggressive timelines.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell).
• Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
• Strong working knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef).
• Experience with SOA-based applications (REST, SOAP, JSON).
• Experience in web application maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience creating documentation for application configuration and procedures.
• Experience with source control systems (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket).
