Overview

As the Senior Manager of Product Concept Development, you will lead cross-functional teams in transforming early-stage ideas into impactful products that resonate with our target markets. You will develop robust ROI projections and build persuasive business cases to support the prioritization of strategic product enhancements and the launch of new capabilities. 

 

This role plays a pivotal part in shaping the strategic positioning of product initiatives and validating their anticipated benefits. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to align on vision, execution, and outcomes. Additionally, you will work in partnership with the research team to conduct comprehensive market analyses—examining industry trends, competitive landscapes, evolving healthcare needs, and technological advancements—to inform product strategy, define market scope, and forecast growth trajectories.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the concept design lifecycle from ideation through preliminary prototype development, ensuring alignment with timelines and strategic objectives.
  • Partner with the research team to conduct in-depth market analysis, evaluating industry trends, competitive dynamics, healthcare needs, and technological advancements to inform product direction and forecast growth potential.
  • Define product scope and value proposition in collaboration with the product design team, contributing to the development of high-level business models and workflow designs.
  • Collaborate with Workforce Management to assess operational expenditure (OPEX) requirements and resource planning.
  • Work with the sales strategy team to define pricing models and go-to-market strategies, aligning with five-year market lift projections.
  • Support and facilitate strategic partnership opportunities to enhance capability delivery and strengthen the overall sales approach.
  • Develop detailed five-year ROI forecasts and market lift projections to guide strategic planning and investment decisions.
  • Analyze and synthesize complex data to evaluate initiative impact, identify future opportunities, and support prioritization within the broader strategic agenda.
  • Contribute to the development of the product roadmap, ensuring timely progression through the lifecycle toward product launch.
  • Establish baseline metrics and benefit quantification mechanisms to support ROI-driven prioritization and roadmap planning.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling pitch decks to senior leadership and key stakeholders as part of the product governance process, incorporating feedback to refine concepts.
  • Embrace an iterative design methodology, adapting product concepts based on stakeholder input, business evolution, and feasibility assessments.
  • Translate research findings and complex datasets into clear, actionable narratives that support strategic decision-making and solution development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant or transferable discipline required.
  • Minimum of 7 years in managed care, strategic leadership, product development, or analytical leadership roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, is required
  • Experience with SQL, Oracle, Vertica, Salesforce, Tableau, and/or Power BI is preferred.
  • Core Competencies:
    • Proven success in designing, validating, and launching product concepts in the healthcare space.
    • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate market insights into innovative and competitive product offerings.
    • Deep understanding of healthcare payment models and the key drivers of value within those frameworks.
    • Demonstrated leadership in managing complex projects and fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
    • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong presentation and communication abilities, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels
