Overview

As a Senior Engineer, you will independently deliver features for Contact Management applications that focus on delivering IVR functionality, interactive text messaging, and usage of OCR technology to parse scanned images. This role requires strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle, along with familiarity in IVR, interactive text messaging, and OCR technologies. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable features while contributing to mentoring junior team of engineers.

 

Responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Design & Development: Lead the design and development of features in applications that integrate with IVR, OCR, and text messaging applications. Leverage your knowledge of Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google), Microservices/Lambda, Java, Spring Boot, and Databases to develop and maintain scalable microservices ecosystem used for integration with 3rd party software
  • Leadership: Independently manage your work to plan and deliver functionality in a timely manner in agile setting. Provide support to other Leads in mentoring junior developers, contributing to a collaborative and innovative environment. Collaborate with team members across time zones via Teams, Github comments, documents, and frequent video conferences
  • Best Practices: Implement and showcase your usage of best practices in Test-Driven Development (TDD), pair programming, code reviews, and design patterns. Contribute to building CI/CD best practices that enable iterative delivery of features that provide incremental value
  • Agile Practices: Assist the leaders to build sprint commitments for the team and while delivering adhere to deadlines and quality standards. Leverage agile concepts of proof of concepts and working prototypes for a faster time to market
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including end users, product owners, and other stakeholders to deliver intuitive, engaging, and pleasing contact management experiences to the end user
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, continuously improving your skills and the features’ quality. Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, and maintain high standards for code quality

This is the role for you if you have:

  • Experience working with IVR, interactive text messaging, and OCR solutions.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Qualifications

You should apply if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years’ experience in Java, Spring Boot, JPA and Oracle
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture
  • Proficiency in RESTful APIs, Web Services, and Agile methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
