Senior DevOps/Kubernetes Engineer (On-Prem Kubernetes)

CareCentrix is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in on-premises Kubernetes environments. This role is responsible for coordinating and managing Kubernetes-based deployments on clusters provisioned by infrastructure administrators. You will own the end-to-end CI/CD pipeline, automation, and documentation to ensure smooth, reliable, and secure deployments. Familiarity with cloud and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS, and Ansible is a strong plus.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with infrastructure admins to leverage Kubernetes clusters for smooth deployments, upgrades, scaling, and issue resolution.
• Own and maintain Jenkins pipelines for application builds, containerization, testing, and deployment.
• Implement GitOps practices using tools like ArgoCD for continuous delivery and pull-based automation.
• Automate tasks using Jenkins, Ansible, Python, or Bash to reduce manual interventions and improve efficiency.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for tasks, processes, and deployments to ensure repeatability and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with application teams to securely containerize and deploy apps into Kubernetes environments.
• Configure and manage infrastructure monitoring and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
• Monitor Kubernetes workloads, resource usage, and performance, and provide optimization recommendations.
• Implement and manage security practices including RBAC, secrets management, and network policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues independently across the full DevOps toolchain.
• Contribute to IaC practices using Terraform and Helm for repeatable deployments (preferred but not required).

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with on-prem Kubernetes deployments, including coordination, automation, and CI/CD management.
• Strong expertise with Jenkins pipelines (must-have) and GitOps tools like ArgoCD.
• Proven ability to automate tasks using Jenkins, Ansible, Python, or Bash.
• Ability to work independently across the full DevOps lifecycle—from automation to deployment to documentation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and infrastructure monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Familiarity with Linux system administration and container technologies (Docker, CRI-O).
• Preferred qualifications: Experience with Terraform, AWS Cloud, Helm, SOA applications (REST/SOAP), and Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or equivalent.
